About Us

The Toronto Urban Renewal Network (TURN) is a community organization representing pedestrians, cyclists, transit users and motorists concerned with discrepancies between City of Toronto transportation plans and their implementation.

TURN came together in response to the manner in which the South Kingsway-Queensway Intersection reconstruction project was stopped by one well-connected ratepayers association (with less than 40 community members) and the local councillor in July 2007. Since then, we have also participated in other city road reconstructions including Jarvis Street and sections of Bloor Street between Avenue and Church as well as the Avenue Study occurring on Keele and Dundas West.
